How the Vessel Sunk?: 17 July 1945
Morning 0915 hours to 1045 hoursUSS Bumper launched 3 torpedoes. First one missed and exploded at shore. Number 2 and 3 found the mark and did not leave much of the vessel.
Vessel Activity Priot to Sinking: At anchor
Other Information: There can be more pieces found on the surrounding hills than in the water. After getting hit by two torpedos and burning out prior to sinking it was later more or less salvaged by local fisherman.

We salvaged a part in order to try to find numbers / markings :

We cleaned it up in order to preserve it. It was most likely a fuel diversion valve.
